For those who love the visual arts, The Queen West Art Crawl (QWAC for those in the know) takes place September 16th thru to the 18th, along Queen Street West between Bathurst and Roncesvalles. More than 500 artists will exhibit their work along Queen St. in parks, galleries, cafes, retail and design shops and studios. This annual festival exhibits the work of professional artists and presents new ideas via art acholars and curators, artists and of course art lovers. |

Terry Fox Marathon of Hope - September 18th
Keep the Marathon of Hope alive by running, pledging or volunteering to support cancer research. Before Terry's death, he knew there would be an annual Terry Fox Run in every city, town, and hamlet across this country to battle this monster that is killing people every day. Almost thirty years later, Canadians have adopted Terry's mission of finding a cure for cancer. The run is usually held on the second Sunday after labour Day, the month chosen by Terry, to refelect when he had to stop running and when Canadians started. |
